Mother Defends Sick 2-Year-Old After Internet Trolls Make Fun of Her in Cruel Memes

When internet trolls got a possession of a photo of Kyra Pringle’s two-year-old daughter things turned ugly really quick.

Her toddler, Mariah Anderson, was born with an extremely rare genetic condition called Chromosome Two Duplication Syndrome. Since being born, she has been striving just to stay alive, and she isn’t expect to live much longer.

“She’s just a joy, it’s a joy to have her right now,” said her mother. “It’s just to the time where we’re enjoying her.”

Last Saturday, Pringle posted a photo of her daughter on her Facebook wall and it instantly went viral. Thousands of people began sharing the image and commenting, nevertheless, they weren’t saying the kind of things any mother wants to hear.

“She’s not a monster,” Pringle said during an emotional interview with Charlotte’s News 2. “She’s not fictitious. She’s real. She is here.”

The photo's, which was taken during Mariah’s birthday, received countless cruel comments making fun of her appearance — comparing her to a leprechaun.

“If you’re out there and you’re doing these things, and you think that it’s ridiculous, it’s not ridiculous,” said Mariah’s grandmother. “This is actually a human living presence, this is a child, this is a baby.”

Gratefully, since the incident made national news, a few people have reached to the family to apologize for their nasty behavior.
